At Keely Algar Medical & Legal Translations, we offer translation and proofreading services for journal publication.
We have a dedicated team of translators and proofreaders, specialising in assisting clients with publication to seminal journals. Our staff are native speakers of Spanish, French and English and have published themselves. They have also worked for universities within the UK and with medical professionals, assisting doctoral clients, from across different disciplines (mainly medical and legal), in progressing through the RPA and transfer stages of their PhD; many of these clients have gone on to publish.
The service is individually tailored and staged to reflect the processes of writing, ensuring you have the support necessary to meet your needs and goals. Essentially, your goals become our goals and the following process reflects this:
Stage 1: You send your transcript along with the name of the journal you wish to publish in. It is imperative we know which journal, so our experts can check the academic conventions that are particular to the journal in which you intend to publish and read exisitng publications within the journal to understand the stucture and depth required.
Stage 2: Revisions are sent: language changes will be made via tracking within Microsoft Word and comments will be made relating to depth of content. This way we can ensure your work meets both the language criteria and the depth and struture required by the journal.
Stage 3: A Skype session is arranged between the client and proofreader to clarify changes. This also presents you with an opportunity to discuss revisions based on feedback.
Stage 4: You submit your work to the journal.
Stage 5: Once your work has been peer reviewed and changes have been suggested, we can work together to achieve these before final submission. Again, Skype sessions can be requested to clarify points.
Stage 6: You publish and we all celebrate!
